Zip's D1 Street Legal S15
If you aren’t familiar Hisashi Kamimoto by name, you’ll probably recognize his face from numerous D1 Grand Prix videos. He’s been a judge, assistant judge, and announcer for years. He also competed during the golden age of D1 Street Legal in his Zipp’s S15 Silvia.
I’ve had these pictures siting in a folder for years. Not sure where they came from, but I figured they were worth sharing. I don’t remember much of the specifics of this S15, but Zipp’s (Kamimoto’s shop/company) built it in conjunction with Sun Line Racing. It, of course, had an SR20DET under the hood, which I recall being stroked to 2.2L and running an HKS GT3037 setup. Livery was from RYO if you couldn’t tell.
